Cabot courses are designed for walking, inspired by our deep love of nature and the land itself. We do not offer golf carts, as we are committed to providing a golf experience that allows guests to fully connect with the natural beauty of our surroundings. Our walking-only policy supports a more immersive, traditional style of play — one that honours the tradition of the game and encourages a deeper appreciation of the course’s landscape.
We have a limited number of medical carts for guests who provide a doctor’s note advising against walking the full length of the courses.
Yes! Cabot Cape Breton offers a premier caddie program. To elevate your round and get the most out of your game, we encourage you to utilize the expertise of our talented caddie yard. Group caddies and bag carrier caddies are available. Our bag carrier caddies are classified as ‘A’ and ‘B’ caddies where ‘A’ caddies provide advice on alignment, green reading, club selection, yardages, and boost your moral; ‘B’ caddies carry your bag but do not provide strategic advice or course insight. Forecaddies do not carry golf bags, they provide the entire group with course knowledge off the tee, strategy tips, and green reading, while also assisting with raking bunkers, tending pins, and navigating the course. Caddie services are optional on Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs and available by advance request. Caddies are not permitted on The Nest.
A Caddies: $90 per bag, plus gratuity
B Caddies: $60 per bag, plus gratuity
Group Caddie (aka Forecaddie): $120 per group, plus gratuity
Caddie Booking & Cancellation Policy: Caddie requests are put out to the yard, and it is based on availability. It is highly recommended to put your caddie request in at the same time as your tee time and lodging booking. If you cancel an accepted caddie request within 24 hours, you are still required to pay the full caddie fee, as caddies commit to their loops in advance of the day required.
Bag Carrier Caddie upgrades must be requested at least 48 hours before your tee time by emailing our Reservations team.
We offer a complimentary shuttle service that continuously loops between Cabot Cliffs and Cabot Links properties. You can catch the shuttle in front of our Front Desk building, and in front of the Cliffs Golf Shop.
If you need assistance getting to your tee time, just hop on the shuttle or ask a team member for help!
- The Nest – A fun 11-hole short course that can be played quickly, making it perfect for new players or those short on time.
- Royal Blue Tee Boxes – Designed for a less challenging distance to the green, these tee boxes ensure all players can enjoy the game comfortably at their own skill level.
Courses only shut down in the event of lightning. While we won’t refund a round due to rainy weather as playing with the elements is part of the links golf experience, we will try our best to accommodate by rearranging tee times in the event of lightning.
Cabot Cape Breton offers a range of challenges for every golfer. Our two 18-hole courses provide full-length rounds for those seeking a traditional golf experience, while our short course offers a more accessible way to play.
Whether you’re looking for a quick, casual round or a championship-level challenge, there’s something here for every skill level. Please see our Golf page for more information.
Our Golf Shop offers a wide range of golf essentials and apparel, including clubs, balls, gloves, hats, shoes, and branded merchandise from Peter Millar, Holderness & Bourne, Greyson, B. Draddy and more.
